After completing her holistic health coaching certification with The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), and successfully coaching clients in a multitude of dietary practices, she chose to expand her understanding of health and wellness by undertaking a 650 hour comprehensive Pilates certification from Core Pilates NYC. She has additional certifications in jump board, tower, advanced and working with injuries as well as pre and post natal. Her approach to Pilates focuses on building sustainable practices, building personal awareness, connectivity and physical capacity. She believes every class should be light hearted, athletic and fun while maintaining a focus on proper alignment.

Christie Freeman, owner and director of HHF/PP, first discovered Pilates in college where she received a BFA in dance from California State University, Long Beach. After taking a course in Pilates while in college, Christie worked part-time in the dance department’s physical therapy room which was equipped with a cadillac, wunda chair, and reformers. This is where she realized the true benefits of a daily Pilates practice and how much Pilates can help the body. Christie suffered from chronic back, shoulder, and neck pain due to a car accident; during her time in this therapy room she was able to focus her attention on herself and see the amazing results that can be achieved with a little dedication and the Pilates practice.

Christie received her Pilates mat and equipment certification from The Kane School of Core Integration in New York. Christie has attended additional workshops to continue her Pilates training; Pilates through Pregnancy with Debbi Goodman, MSPT, Pre and Post Natal Specialist Pilates Certification with Carolyne Anthony, Kinesthetic Anatomy and Biomechanics of Motion: Spine/Trunk with Irene Dowd, Relax your Neck – Liberate your Shoulders with Eric Franklin, Hip and Knee injuries with Mark Klion/MD and the FAMI intensive taught at Mount Sinai.

After incurring an injury from camera operating she started a taking Pilates classes to help rehabilitate and strengthen her spine. Finding a love for Pilates and seeing great benefits in the practice, she went for her certification. Daba came to yoga over a decade ago to balance out soccer and running. She describes her classes as mindfully aligned, and aims at making poses accessible for every body and every level. Daba brings humor and lightness to her classes while leading you in a safe, challenging practice.

Her journey has lead to teaching in NYC, Jersey City, and North Jersey. A true student of the yoga practice, Daba is an E-RYT 200 | RYT 500 instructor. She has also completed training programs in pre-natal &post-natal yoga; currently studies, Iyengar and Gentle/Restorative Yoga as well as Structural Yoga with her mentors/teachers Nikki Costello and Alison West. “I want to challenge my limits, not limit my challenges” is the answer every time someone ask Daniel Morteh why he rides over 100 miles as often as possible. Daniel, a Jersey City native, was a track and field competitor throughout high school. In 2015, shortly after he joined HHF, his father passed away and distance cycling was very therapeutic for him. Since then, he frequently enters bike tours, 10Ks, half marathons and city obstacle course races. In 2016, he received is spinning certificate through Mad Dog Athletics, and teaches indoor cycling in various local gyms and is also a spin instructor for Jersey
City’s Department of Recreation’s senior citizens exercise program. Daniel is always setting new goals and he is now planning a cross country bike ride hoping inspire others to “challenge their limits”.

Dorela was born and raised in the USSR, but in her late teens relocated to the US in order to pursue her dreams. She has always strived to live an active and healthy lifestyle through different types of fitness training programs including spinning and boxing; but it was after deciding to try Pilates that Dorela really found her niche. Now having practiced for over ten years, Pilates has given her killer core strength, a strong sense of body awareness, and the flexibility she has always desired. Pilates also remains a positive outlet from her stressful and sometimes demanding career in the finance industry.

Dorela received her Pilates Mat and full Apparatus certification from the prestigious Kane School of Core Integration, training under founder Kelly Kane. Dorela’s knowledge and passion shows in her class repertoire. George is a university student who brings with him many years of experience as a Swim Instructor instructor. He has been certified as a swim instructor and lifeguard since 2006 and has been a Health & Safety Instructor since 2011.

and group swim programs including Parent/Child, Specials Needs, Adult

Thuc-Hanh Tran (Hanh) received her Pilates Comprehensive Mat and Equipment certification from the Kane School of Core Integration, her certifications in Prenatal and Postnatal Pilates, Momilates®, and Stroller Moves® from Bella Bellies®; and is a licensed instructor of Pilates for Buff Bones®, a bone-strengthening program for those with osteoporosis or those seeking to prevent it. Hanh continually seeks to deepen her understanding of different topics, attending classes, workshops and seminars on bone health, diastasis recti, working with seniors, sacro-illiac joint dysfunction, shoulders, knees, neck, back… with prominent teachers like Kelly Kane, Matt McCullough, Debbi Goodman, MPT, Lolita San Miguel, Julie Tupler, RN, Rebekah Rotstein, Balanced Body Pilates on Tour among others. KateLynn has been teaching Pilates since 2010. A former dancer and current physical therapy student, she has a given love for movement and a deep understanding of how the body moves. Her detail-oriented and creative approach places emphasis on restoring skeletal alignment, muscle imbalances, and functional stability.

KateLynn has extensive knowledge and experience in posture and gait analysis, back pain, and injury prevention. She studied biomechanics and the therapeutic elements of Pilates under the renowned Erika Bloom, where she is currently on faculty and will be teaching several lectures to Pilates certification students this fall. She also holds a classical Pilates certification, pre & post natal certifications, and extensive training in Pilates for scoliosis. KateLynn has taught in studios throughout New York City, as well as at the renowned Amanyara resort located on the beautiful island of Turks and Caicos.

KateLynn will graduate with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May 2018 and holds a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. Passionate about the benefits of holistic movement, her goal is to integrate Pilates and yoga with traditional physical therapy methods in order to improve patient outcomes and enhance quality of life.

Sebaj has been involved in sports and the fitness industry for over 29 years. He has worked at many of the premiere clubs in the country including Equinox and New York Health and Racquet club.

It was at Equinox where he really cut his fitness teeth attaining Elite Plus (the highest trainer status) in only one year. Equinox recognized his ability to motivate and teach others by promoting him to instructor status at the industry renowned EFTI Equinox Fitness Training Institute. Additionally, while at Equinox he trained a group of female trainers to compete in the prestigious Galaxy Fitness competition: a fitness competition emphasizing feminine aesthetics and athleticism.

After leaving Equinox he took some time to pursue personal goals including bicycle racing as a master’s category cyclist, competition rock climbing, and hiking the Appalachian trail: a 2,168 mile long trail extending from Georgia to Maine. Upon returning to New York he worked at Manhattan Plaza Health club as a trainer and shift supervisor for the climbing wall. During his employment there the climbing wall hosted two USA climbing sanctioned events: the American Bouldering Series ABS where he set routes and judged the competitors with world cup climber Vadim Vinokor and northeast climbing champion and author Ivan Greene.

After moving to New Jersey in 2006 he started working at Club “H” fitness in Hoboken, NJ. While there he helped implement the Polar Body Age system: an interactive computer health and fitness assessment and training system. This system was instrumental in increasing membership sales by 20% and lowering attrition rates by 5% impressive numbers in the fitness industry. More recently he worked at Clay in Manhattan. As one of the top trainers there he started the hugely successful Cardio Boot camp class that ran for three straight years. He also served as a mentor to younger trainers.
Over the last 2 decades Sebaj has trained hundreds of clients getting results for those dedicated enough to go the distance. His experience and education comprise 5 different certifications.
Sebaj’s training philosophy and style is equally effective for serious competitors, weekend warriors, or for those looking for more modest results. He excels at utilizing methods from different modalities; synthesizing these ideas into thoughtful and effective training programs guaranteed to challenge inspire and elicit results. Shira moved to NYC from Isreal in 1998 to further her education in theater and body movement. Over the last 15 years, she became certified in different body consciousness techniques, such as yoga, meditation and Pilates. These methods helped her to focus her teaching practice by introducing a balanced approach to helping her students, many of which had chronic conditions that interfered with wellness and healthy living.

The Kane School at Kinected in NYC, it offered Shira the education she was seeking to help integrate, define, and apply her previous experience, by introducing a more clinical approach to her talent. She is personally grateful for the results she has achieved, through the disappearance of her own chronic ailments, experienced through her discomfort through scoliosis and childbirth.

Sue Banzon first found yoga during college, while trying new classes at her local gym. It was a few years later, that she truly discovered yoga and it’s innate benefits – physically, emotionally and spiritually, when her breath became restricted from hearing news about her mother’s, at the time, serious illness. After experiencing personal great shifts through the practice of yoga, Susan wanted to share this gift with others.


Sue received her 200-hour yoga certification from Atmananda Studios in 2005 and since then, has taken many workshops with different teachers, including her Pre-natal Yoga instructor certification with Mia Borgatta from Ma Yoga in 2009 and Restorative Yoga instructor certification from Kripalu in 2007. Personal Training

Since 2014, Maks Reznik was a practicing attorney in Manhattan’s financial district; at which time, he suffered from chronic pain throughout his body. In fact, he was told he needed to receive surgery due to an impingement and labral tear in his hip. He didn’t listen to this recommendation and instead of getting surgery, he began researching and experimenting with ways to get out of pain naturally through exercise. Today, he no longer suffers from hip pain and has also successfully treated his back, neck, shoulder and feet pain naturally without surgery or pain medication. During this journey, Maks discovered he has a passion for helping others get out of chronic pain naturally as well and has decided to leave the law to pursue this goal full-time. He is currently certified as a personal trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-CPT) and is seeking additional certifications in natural and functional movement. Maks believes that exercise has the power to heal and if done properly, can reverse most chronic pain issues.

George is a university student who brings with him many years of experienceas a Swim Instructor instructor. He has been certified as a swim instructorand lifeguard since 2006 and has been a Health & Safety Instructor since2011.

Over the years, George has worked for organizations such as the YMCA
and the American Red Cross. George has taught a diversity of both private
and group swim programs including Parent/Child, Specials Needs, Adult
Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced, Progressive Swim Lessons for Children andYouth, Endurance Training, Stroke Development, and Competitive Swimming.

Asan instructor, George aims to provide a safe and encouraging learningenvironment for all of his swimmers. His student-centered approach willhelp you to achieve your desired learning and fitness goals.

VUK FIO MIADJENOVIC

Vuk has been swimming competitively for 15 years, in 3 different countries: Croatia, Germany and USA. Faced with 3 different cultures, Vuk had the honor to meet a variety of people and experience their way of life. He speaks three languages fluently, thus can communicate and address problems among a variety of people coming from different countries. Vuk has been giving swim lessons for 8 years, and can teach children as well as adults. His classes are highly energetic and accompanied with music, which creates a positive relationship between student and teacher. Many students bond easily with Vuk and stay in touch with him beyond the lessons.

YEAN JIMENEZ

Yean has been an active athlete since he was 6 years old. He started swimming for the National Team in the Dominican Republic when he was 15 years old, and went on to compete as a professional triathlete in 2 Pan-American Games, 2 Central American Games and many international races. Yean still enjoys competing in triathlons of all distances.

For the last 5 years, Yean has worked in many aquatic departments teaching students of all ages and abilities how to swim – and be safe in the water. The students range from six month olds in Parent & Child Pre-schools to youth classes and adults learning to swim for the first time. Yean believe’s that it’s not just a swim lesson, the sessions teach students personal growth, safety, swim strokes, games, and core values. Yean likes to build confidence in students that will carry into their lives outside of the water.
